Hand crafted linen vest “Crane at it's vigilance”. Ready to ship.
Grus grus
There was a beautiful legend about the cranes taking turns to guard at night. It told that one crane would hold a rock in its feet to ward off sleep. If the crane would start to doze off the rock would fall and wake her. I was amazed by this beautiful story which in the beginning I thought to be true.
So here I made a vest to honor this beautiful belief in a form of a legend. It is made from linen and wool and has a very comforting and warm feeling on the body. Appliques are hand stitched and the vest is hand quilted all over to celebrate slow and meaningful textiles.
SIZE: S-M. Measuring 57 cm in width and 62 cm in length.
The vest is pullover and doesn’t stretch much as the knitted garments so it is best to leave some space for putting it on so if you are in doubt about the size, and measure very similar with the garment measurements it would be a better idea to size up for M-L option (you can buy it as a made to order item choosing preferred size in a separate listing).
COMPOSITION: Oeko tex linen, 100 percent wool batting, cotton thread.
CARE: “Gentle Cycle” (20°C,400 spin (very important)) in the washing machine.
Use dye catchers for the first few times.
Safe to iron and it is best to do it while the vest is still a bit wet and not dried out as linen is a fabric with a character. The vest will get softer and softer with wear and will need less attending after wash.
